History
Kei attended the Anti-Aogiri gathering where the ghouls loyal to Banjou mapped out their escape from the 11th Ward Base. When the breakout collapsed, Yamori killed her and her son as part of the torture inflicted on Kaneki. In the anime adaptation, she and Kouto were swapped out for the characters Shuu and Haru.
