Summary

Barely able to stay upright after Chuu Hachikawa's grievous strike, Kaya Irimi unleashes her kagune and throws herself at his squad. Through the exchange she questions whether the path she took was ever the right one, and the investigators steadily wear her down until she is pinned.

Take Hirako urges Hachikawa to put civilian safety first, but Hachikawa counters that killing Irimi matters more, since she heads the Black Dobers. He dismisses the idea of confining her to Cochlea, unwilling to grant her a long life, and unsettles Hirako by baring his scarred mouth. As he moves to finish Irimi, Ken Kaneki breaks in and lands a blow on him.
