Doru Doru no Mi

Galdino, the Baroque Works agent who goes by the alias Mr. 3, is the one who ate this Paramecia, which most English releases render as the Wax-Wax Fruit. Its power lets him secrete large quantities of candle wax and mold that wax into whatever shape he pictures, marking him a Candle Human. The fruit debuted back in Chapter 118 and Episode 71. In its uneaten form it is a white, pear-shaped item topped by a melted-looking crown and a green stem that drips as though made of wax itself.

At its heart the power is simply generating wax and shaping it, but once the wax cures it grows as tough as steel and holds up against certain acids, having endured both a Bananawani's stomach and Magellan's Hydra. Firing up the fruit sets the user's hair alight like a wick, a flame that never burns him. Cured wax can be smashed by another chunk of cured wax, and for all its density it still softens under fire or heat, including the flame atop Mr. 3's own head, which is why scorching places such as Impel Down's Level 3 sap his strength badly. Mr. 3 bends the ability toward his artistic streak, forming people-perfect statues, sealing enemies inside living wax figures, and even reproducing keys precise enough to spring Seastone locks. His named repertoire is broad: Candle Lock pins a limb in a candle-shaped clamp, the Tokudai Candle Service Set is a giant cake that gradually entombs captives, Candle Wall raises a shield, Candle Champion is a robotic boxing suit that magnifies his power, Doru Doru no Yakata spawns decoy clones, Doru Doru Ball encases him for defense, and Doru Doru Kaijo reverts hardened wax to liquid. Allied with Luffy in Impel Down, he fused his wax with Luffy's rubber, fitting him with Champion-style gauntlets and boots to punch Magellan without being poisoned. He still bears the usual Devil Fruit weaknesses.

The power rests with Galdino, the showy Baroque Works officer known as Mr. 3, whose creations mirror his taste for spectacle, ranging from lifelike doubles of other people to an enormous candle-topped cake, and he even drives his ship using the wax. During the breakout from Impel Down he repurposed his sculpting into combat aid, guarding his allies and arming Luffy to stand against Magellan, the warden wielding the poison-spawning Doku Doku no Mi.
