Steely Dan

Steely Dan wears an open-chested shirt that drops past his belt into a loincloth-like flap, with long sleeves and trousers in a darker shade than the rest of the garment. His dark hair falls to his shoulders and splays out at the sides. His eyes are marked by several concentric rings, and his eyebrows break apart into short dotted segments.

A thoroughly nasty piece of work, Steely Dan is cruel, petty, and gutless. He carries himself with oily confidence as long as Lovers shields him, coldly telling Enya that DIO ordered her death and then gleefully abusing Jotaro after taking Joseph hostage, striking the young man and turning him into a decoy. He thinks nothing of hitting a child or overcharging Joseph for kebabs. The instant his advantage slips, however, his bravado dissolves into flight and grovelling, and he will even lick Jotaro's shoe to buy himself time.

Dan first surfaces disguised as a kebab seller, haggling an extra 300 yen out of Joseph. He later reveals himself to the Joestar Group in Pakistan and executes Enya to silence her, then plants Lovers, a microscopic Stand, inside Joseph's brain, where any harm Dan suffers rebounds on his hostage many times over. Using that leverage he bends Jotaro to his will, humiliating him at every step while stealing money and jewelry.

The situation reverses once Kakyoin and Polnareff shrink their own Stands to hunt Lovers, and Hierophant Green wounds it inside Joseph's head, forcing Dan to withdraw it. He bolts, is caught by Jotaro, and tries to slip Lovers into Jotaro's ear, but Star Platinum halts it with pinpoint precision and crushes his arm and leg. A final attempt to force the Stand into a nearby girl is thwarted by Hierophant Green, and Jotaro closes the matter with a drawn-out Star Platinum beating that hurls him into a building.
