Shigechi's Harvest, Part 2

At Budogaoka Bank, Josuke, Okuyasu, and Shigechi wait as a clerk verifies their winning ticket, only for the man to grow suspicious and press them on where they bought it. Josuke's mounting lies trip over their own contradictions. The clerk then reveals that the original buyer signed his name and number on the back, a detail the trio never checked, and moves to phone him to confirm the fraud.

Thinking fast, Josuke uses Crazy Diamond to rewrite the name and digits so the buyer cannot be traced, forcing the clerk to release a promissory note for five million yen. Outside, Shigechi immediately claims the entire sum, tossing his partners a paltry twenty thousand. Okuyasu decks him and reclaims the note, but Harvest snatches it back, and Shigechi bolts with the two seniors in pursuit.

The chase climbs a building as Shigechi rides Harvest like treads, while Josuke and Okuyasu hurl each other with their Stands to keep pace. Harvest wrecks the pipes bridging two rooftops, though Crazy Diamond repairs them just in time. A sneak strike drops both older boys after Harvest injects alcohol straight into their bloodstream. Cornered, Okuyasu fakes surrender, but the tide turns when The Hand carves through space to teleport the note into Josuke's grasp.

Josuke shreds the note, and the panicked Shigechi recalls Harvest, letting Okuyasu knock him down. Reminded that everyone earned the money together, Shigechi finally repents of his greed, and three days later the reissued five million is split in thirds, though he cannot resist starting one last argument over the shares. This is the first time in the series the narrator actually voices the words To Be Continued.
