There's Six of Us!

With Thunder McQueen beaten, Emporio comes back to Jolyne in the punishment ward and recaps what happened. Ermes now grasps how Stands work, and returning McQueen's Stand disc brought him back to life. Emporio suggests Jotaro could likewise be revived if his Stand disc were recovered, then hands Jolyne McQueen's discs, which she starts examining for clues about Whitesnake. Meanwhile, two inmates struggling to shut a storehouse door are killed by an unseen creature.

Soon after, female prisoners are assembled into a party to find the missing women. Suspecting the deaths involve Loccobarocco's crocodile puppet, Jolyne joins, and Ermes follows. Gwess is unimpressed and questions why Jolyne bothers, but Jolyne simply notes Gwess will not stand beside her. Each searcher gets a bracelet, and the guard warns that removing it, striking it, or straying beyond fifty meters from him will make it detonate. He drives off on a tractor, forcing everyone to run and stay in range. In a shed, Ermes presses Jolyne about the disc, admitting reading it left her sickened. Jolyne explains that McQueen's memories revealed Whitesnake's aim of stealing both memories and Stands, which is why she joined the hunt, believing Jotaro's discs may be stashed with the rest.

Drawn to a warehouse, they are harassed by a guard who strikes Ermes' bracelet, but Jolyne saves her with Stone Free and the impact splatters crocodile filth onto the guard. Overhearing that the warehouse holds only flour and a tractor, Jolyne connects it to McQueen's memories and searches the tires instead of the water. Ermes then realizes five prisoners were summoned yet six are present, a doubt shared by an inmate named Atroe. Bracelets begin beeping, the guard has vanished, and Atroe's device speeds up before exploding and killing her. As the group flees, Ermes is dragged by the face into the marsh by a bucket teeming with multiplying plankton. She calls out Kiss to fight, and Jolyne unwinds into string to skate across the marsh and reach her. Jolyne tackles the plankton being, avoids a gut strike thanks to her unraveled body, and hurls it away, but it catches up and grabs Ermes' leg. Ermes peels off a sticker she had planted, forcing the creature's arm to fuse violently and shatter it. Puzzled that a Stand grew stronger far from its user, they flee inland as it slips into the water, then find the prisoners trying to radio for help. Ermes declares one of them is behind it, and Jolyne concludes that beating the Stand means beating its user.

Emporio recaps the revival of Thunder McQueen and raises the possibility of reviving Jotaro with his Stand disc. A bracelet-tracked search party enters the swamp, and inmate Atroe is killed when her bracelet detonates. The plankton creature, a Foo Fighters Stand, attacks Ermes, who destroys a piece of it with a planted sticker. Jolyne and Ermes deduce the Stand belongs to one of the prisoners in the group.

Seventh in Stone Ocean and 159th overall, the episode adapts chapters 620 through 623. It runs the STONE OCEAN opening and Distant Dreamer ending, with Stone Free in the eyecatch. The odd behavior of the plankton Stand, growing more dangerous with distance rather than weaker, sets up the introduction of Foo Fighters in the following episode.
