Assistant Manager

No fixed look attaches to the role, as those who hold it are distinct individuals rather than a single mold. They appear as everyday jujutsu personnel, recognized by what they do and where they stand on a mission instead of any common visual cue. People known to have filled the position include Kiyotaka Ijichi, Akari Nitta, and Kazuya Mino.

Taken as a group, assistant managers are marked by their service rather than any shared disposition. Their purpose is to back full-fledged sorcerers, so the work draws people content to manage coordination and logistics. A few aim for it from the very start, Akari Nitta among them, who fixed on the position while she was still in school.

An assistant manager is a sorcerer with no combat specialty who aids others by driving, communicating, or otherwise supporting the students of Jujutsu High. They share classes with their fellow sorcerers throughout their schooling and pick up only the slightest combat training, with actually entering battle barred to them. In contrast to windows, who can do no more than glimpse cursed spirits, assistant managers carry the brain structure required to wield cursed energy, which is what makes them sorcerers. Because of that they can call on simple shikigami and barrier techniques to help students, and Tengen feeds his own cursed energy into their barriers to strengthen them.

That same importance to missions turns them into ready targets. The Hasaba sisters, Mimiko and Nanako, received orders to slay them throughout the Night Parade event, and the Shibuya Incident saw them targeted yet again, with Haruta Shigemo cutting down several. Kyoko Tomoe is noted as possessing the qualifications to take on the role.
