Finger Bearer

A Finger Bearer originates inside a cursed womb, gestating there until it is finally born. Even during this incubation it already carries a special grade rating and can be perceived by ordinary people rather than only sorcerers. Once it emerges, it floods the surrounding area with cursed energy to stretch out its innate domain in a way that distorts the space of wherever it was born. That domain stays incomplete, since it forms without an accompanying cursed technique.

These spirits hold the standard traits of any curse, but the finger lodged inside them makes them extraordinarily dangerous. Shown to be cunning, they share Sukuna's streak of cruelty and his habit of playing with whoever they face. Like ordinary curses, they cling to their place of origin and lash out at anyone who steps into their territory. Their reserves of cursed energy run deep enough to fire crude blasts and raise barriers, yet for all that strength they have no real technique and fall far short of Sukuna himself.

The first of these curses turned up during the operation to check for survivors at the Eishu Juvenile Detention Center, where Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro ran into one hatched from a previously flagged cursed womb. It sheared off Yuji's left hand while the boy fought to buy time for Megumi to get Nobara Kugisaki clear. With his classmates safely outside, Yuji handed control over to Sukuna. The King of Curses briefly offered cooperation, only for the spirit to lunge at him and get crushed for it; mildly entertained, Sukuna unleashed Malevolent Shrine, wiped the curse out, and claimed the finger.

A stronger second Finger Bearer later confronted Megumi within the domain beneath Yasohachi Bridge. After exorcising the mole curse there, Megumi found the domain still standing and realized the embedded finger had stirred that curse into killing. This one badly outmatched the first, snapping his sword and nearly finishing him before his shikigami intervened. Forced into a corner, Megumi gambled on his unfinished Chimera Shadow Garden; the curse shrugged off the assault with an explosive burst of cursed energy, but that opening proved to be a feint, and Divine Dog: Totality ran it through. Sukuna later tricked an unaware Yuji into eating the finger that had powered it.

Finger Bearers are not wielded as tools so much as spawned, with each one tied to a single ingested finger of Sukuna. The first appeared at the Eishu Juvenile Detention Center and was destroyed by Sukuna, while a tougher second specimen haunted the area under Yasohachi Bridge until Megumi Fushiguro put it down. Their existence is bound directly to Sukuna, whose scattered fingers seed every one of them.
