Appearance

Rika mirrors Orimoto's vengeful spirit shape while carrying several new, more refined traits. In her partial form she can put forth a white skull-like head ribbed with horizontal lines, lacking eyes and lined with long teeth, the rest of her body a black mass save for two muscled human arms whose black nails are trimmed far neater than they once were. Manifested in full, she nearly matches Orimoto's curse with a few small differences: long white hair where grotesque tentacles used to sprout, a more muscular upper body, and a torso showing less bone around the ribs, her lower half tapering into a black tail. Pushed past what she can normally do, an extra eye opens on her head between the two already there, the same way it appeared when Orimoto strained beyond her own limits in the clash with Suguru Geto.

Personality

Owing to the way she was made, Rika has none of the powerful individual ego found in curses such as Mahito or Jogo, and she holds only a faint thread of Orimoto's personality, far less than Naoya Zenin kept as a vengeful spirit. Bearing the final scraps of Orimoto's will, she exists to protect Yuta, speaking in brief, blunt statements and questions or just calling out his name. She is far steadier than she was as Orimoto's vengeful spirit and now works with Yuta in complete cooperation.

On occasion she appears without being told to, but only where Yuta could be in peril, behaving calmly and to the point yet apt to take things too far; once, when a curse came at Yuta from behind, she splattered it down the side of a building, prompting him to shield a nearby child's eyes and warn her against overdoing it. Her every act serves Yuta's interest, but his orders rank above all, so she stayed at her post protecting civilians in the Sendai Colony even while he took repeated wounds, abandoning it only at his direct summons. She seldom turns aggressive of her own accord but can be provoked; after she caught an energy blast from Ryu Ishigori she said it hurt and vented on him with a heavy punch, and when the three sorcerers' joint domain expansion shut her out, she could not stand being unable to aid Yuta and reflexively pushed her power higher. As far ahead as 2087 she still resents Maki Zenin, a grudge that carries over to the grandson of Yuta and Orimoto, yet she is willing to set it aside to lend him her strength.

Abilities

Freed from Orimoto's soul, Rika is still an immensely powerful curse, an entity once named the Queen of Curses. Her complete form holds an identical skillset and a vast pool of cursed energy shared with Yuta, and even partially out she supports him with strikingly dynamic physical strength, having swiftly torn apart a large spirit that lived through one of Yuta's hits and pinned Yuji Itadori with ease. During the Culling Game in Sendai she is implied to have aided in cutting down Dhruv Lakdawalla and copying his technique, helped scatter a cursed-energy-laced swarm of Kurourushi's cockroaches, and, on Yuta's command to give him everything, leveled the field against the supremely gifted Ryu Ishigori and Takako Uro, striking both directly while moving in flawless sync with Yuta. He used her as a feint to land Cursed Speech on Uro, and after he indirectly cost Uro an arm, Rika ate it so Yuta could copy Uro's innate technique, whose mastery over space then guarded him from a Granite Blast and let him send Ryu's own blast back down onto him.

Her power is enormous; partially out she punched clean through a large bridge, fully froze the superhumanly strong Yuji in place, and knocked Ryu flying before later cracking his head open despite his heavy reinforcement. Her durability is just as great, with Ryu observing she is tougher than Yuta himself, blocking a cursed energy blast one-handed for only a burn and brushing off a punch that flung her several meters. Her cursed energy reserve is immeasurable, enough to bank energy for Yuta and top off his already monstrous supply, which exceeds even Satoru Gojo's, within moments, all while fueling his copied techniques. With Rika fully out, Yuta can fire a directed beam that nearly equals Ryu's Granite Blast, and she can loose a weaker blast on her own.

Through Orimoto's ring, Yuta sustains her full manifestation for as long as five minutes, drawing in that window on her cursed energy, a cache of cursed tools stored inside her, and copied cursed techniques. She safeguards those copied techniques to be woven with their boundless energy, reachable through her or his domain expansion, and by tearing her chest open she lays out the stored tools for him, equipping any troublesome ones herself. She can also fuse with a wielder, as she did with Tsurugi, handing him her power and the ring's stored energy while keeping her full power of speech. Alone among curses, Rika can use reverse cursed technique and generate positive energy, even projecting it to heal others; while Yuta steered Gojo's body through Kenjaku's technique, she mended and sustained it so he could return to his own body after coming close to death.
