Small-framed and slight, the boy wears light blue hair parted neatly to the right above mint-green eyes set under thin brows. He favors a long-sleeved jacket that echoes the Jujutsu High uniform, completed by suspenders, shorts, tall socks, and plain shoes. Decades on, in Modulo, age has hollowed and wrinkled him into a hunched figure of larger build whose hair is now braided like his sister's and swept across the left of his face. A white shirt sits beneath a hooded cloak of black, the layered garments concealing nearly his whole frame along with the bulk of his features.

Proper and mature far past his years, Ui Ui is shaped above all by loyalty to Mei Mei, an idol he worships to an unhealthy extreme and would die for without hesitation. He fulfills her every command and bristles at anyone who slights her, which left him cold toward Yuji during Shibuya merely for being close to her, until the two later grew friendlier. Brave enough to brave Sukuna while dragging wounded comrades clear, he generally gets along with most other sorcerers from the school and even assisted Maki with private matters. Following the clash with Sukuna he came to idolize the curse's sheer violence, soured on the peaceful age that followed, and even thanked the Simurians' champion Dabura Karaba for reacquainting Japan with the dread that curses inspire.

Despite being too young for a professional grade, Ui Ui still functions as a genuine asset rather than dead weight, trusted on Mei Mei's Shibuya squad to haul her axe and shut down domains for his grade 1 sister. His innate Spatial Transference teleports himself and others to marked people or places, frequently by veiling them under a sheet, and it spans vast distances in moments, as when he and Mei Mei bolted from Shibuya to Kuala Lumpur in under two hours. That power let him act as a liaison through the Culling Game and retrieve sorcerers such as Gojo, Higuruma, Yuta, and Kusakabe during the Shinjuku Showdown, and with permission he can move a target's soul alone, swapping souls between bodies up to twice per person each month. He also fields New Shadow Style: Simple Domain to nullify an enemy domain's sure-hit effect, which spared him from the Smallpox Deity. Underlying it all is a binding vow with Mei Mei that limits his cursed energy and restrains his jujutsu until she allows it, rooted in his wish to be hers. In Modulo he heads the New Shadow Style, wielding a binding vow that drains his students' lifespans to prolong his own.
