Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Part 1

Working off the ninth rule they managed to insert into the Culling Game, the students map out how to corner the players sitting above a hundred points. Hiromi Higuruma is one such target and Hajime Kashimo the other, and the plan also folds in locating the elusive Angel. The scheme steers the group toward the Tokyo No. 1 Colony, where the next leg of their campaign opens.

The instant Yuji and Megumi step inside the colony, a pair of newbie hunters who prey on fresh entrants jump them, forcing an immediate fight.

The ambush throws Yuji against Haba and Hanyu, whose odd hair-based techniques mimic a helicopter and an airplane. Megumi supports the effort through his Ten Shadows Technique, calling out Nue, while the Kogane shikigami keeps tabs on the game's state. The episode also threads in glimpses and references to major Culling Game figures, Kashimo, Higuruma, and the Angel among them, as the search begins.

The episode adapts portions of chapter 158 together with chapters 160 through part of 162, and introduces Rin Amai, Hanyu, Haba, and Remi. Abilities on display include the hair-manipulation techniques of Haba and Hanyu, Megumi's Nue, and Dhruv's shikigami.
