Key Events

A minute before the opening, Gojo passes the loudspeaker to Utahime but pranks her by killing the microphone as the timer expires, leaving the students baffled while she shouts at him to respect his elders. Both squads start on opposite ends of the grounds. Panda guesses the grade 2 curse sits somewhere central but will probably shift, and Megumi tracks nearby curses with his Divine Dogs as the team follows, Maki ordering them to break into separate units at the set moment and lean on Megumi's tracking.

A spider-shaped curse blocks the path, and Maki readies to deal with it until Megumi warns her to hold. Aoi smashes out of the treeline and roars for the whole Tokyo squad to rush him at once, but Yuji answers with a flying knee planted square in his face, giving the rest cover to scatter. Maki reflects that handing Aoi to Yuji was a smart move, since back in the meeting she had foreseen Aoi rushing his rivals head-on; Yuji's job was to stall Aoi even at the price of defeat, though he swore he would win if a fight was happening at all.

Notes

Taken with Yuji's speed, Aoi channels cursed energy into his fist for a counterstrike. The spider curse springs at him and is blown to pieces, blunting his punch, yet the impact still flings Yuji into a tree, and Aoi beats him down until the first-year looks finished. As Aoi turns to chase the rest, he catches Yuji climbing back to his feet. Yuji tells him to quit making him dumber, and Aoi shoots back that his favorite pop idol adores dumb guys, then learns Yuji's name and settles on one question: what sort of girl Yuji is into. Set at Tokyo Jujutsu High, the chapter carries on the Spirit Bash Race, opens the Yuji versus Aoi Todo fight, and ran in 2018.
