Life Force

Life Force is a Mutant Quirk with no external reach, held today by Kyudai Garaki and by All For One. It appears in Chapter 260 and in Episode 114, and it is named outright a little later, in Chapter 270 and Episode 117. The ability underwrites one of the series' longest running deceptions, since it explains how two of its oldest figures kept operating in the modern era.

It also belongs to a short list of the earliest Quirks on record, sharing that status with Spearlike Bones, Gearshift, One For All, the unnamed Luminescence, Fa Jin, and All For One.

The Quirk simply doubles how long its owner gets to live. Aging crawls rather than proceeds, and the face presented to the world lags far behind the calendar. Kyudai reads as a man somewhere in his sixties despite having passed his one hundred and twentieth year.

Strip the Quirk away and the debt comes due immediately. When Life Force is nullified through Erasure, the withheld decades arrive all at once, collapsing the user into a withered shape. The ability also carries a standing price: physical mobility is surrendered in exchange for the added lifespan. All For One evidently sidesteps that toll, propping himself up with the many other Quirks in his collection.

Kyudai Garaki began as the original bearer. At some point he produced a duplicate of Life Force, handed the original copy to All For One, and kept the duplicate for himself, which left both men aging at the same unnaturally slow crawl.

All For One therefore wields the original version. His centuries-spanning career, and his ability to remain a threat long past any ordinary human span, rest in large part on this Quirk.
