History

Nyikang walks through the I-Expo preview crowd during Two Heroes, and is one of the reception guests whom Wolfram and his henchmen take captive. He is freed once Melissa Shield wins back control of I-Island's security system. He turns up again in My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission, helping to search for the Trigger Bomb and to defeat Humarise in Egypt. In the main series he appears only in silhouette.

His name and design draw on Shilluk divine kingship in South Sudan, where Nyikang is held to embody the institution itself. Every new king must be possessed by him in ritual conflict, after which his spirit is understood to rule Shillukland as king and as god.
