Team Idaten

Rather than orbit one powerhouse, Team Idaten is assembled around the belief that a well drilled group beats raw individual strength. Recruitment favors people whose Quirks carry a single clear strong point, and the agency then places each of them where that narrow talent counts most, letting criminals be surrounded instead of simply overpowered.

The roster runs to dozens of sidekicks, and the office insists credit belongs to all of them. Patrol staff, navigators, and the people coordinating from behind a desk are treated as the equals of anyone trading blows on the street.

Vehicles are a signature of the operation. Several trucks serve the sidekicks and Ingenium himself, among them one called Pit-02, which carries a mobile rig that fits Ingenium into his gear and then hurls him at a target with a launcher known as the Catapult, all without the truck ever slowing to a stop.

The team's first showing in My Hero Academia: Vigilantes comes during a hunt for Bat Villain. After the criminal slips away, Tensei regroups with his people and drafts a plan to funnel the runner onto a dead end stretch of highway where the rest of the agency waits. The trap nearly works, but the target turns out to have wings, and the Naruhata Vigilantes end up subduing him and handing him over for booking.

A new recruit named Enigma later loses her way trying to reach the Tokyo office, and her Quirk unsettles pedestrians badly enough that Knuckleduster attacks her before the confusion gets sorted out. Koichi Haimawari carries her to the agency himself by way of apology.

When Kuin Hachisuka doses a Quirk bearing cat with Trigger and it fuses with a loaded bus, Ingenium arrives first and tears the door away to steady the passengers. The rest of the team rolls up with a truck, and Enigma lifts people across to it until the Cat-Bus wrecks the vehicle with Makoto Tsukauchi still aboard. Ingenium and The Crawler pull her clear.

Tensei brings the entire agency to Captain Celebrity's farewell event at the Tokyo Sky Egg for an acrobatics routine, then splits them between fighting the Bombers and keeping spectators calm once the venue comes under attack. Years afterward, with Naomasa Tsukauchi holding a warrant for The Crawler, Team Idaten fans out through Naruhata's alleys to box Koichi in, only for him to rocket straight up and out of the net, prompting Ingenium to leave the job to someone else.

In the main series the agency first surfaces indirectly, when Tenya mentions the dozens of sidekicks working beside his brother. Long after graduation, Tenya takes over as leader, and the two brothers become known for helping lost children find their way home.

Tensei Ida founds the agency and runs it as the original Ingenium. Support items eventually let him rejoin the roster as a sidekick beneath his younger brother, and since both men answer to the same hero name, colleagues take to calling the elder "Big Ing" to keep the two straight.

Tenya Ida becomes the second leader once he finishes at U.A. High School and turns professional, carrying both the Ingenium name and the teamwork doctrine forward.

Named sidekicks include Enigma, whose Quirk lets her peer over an entire city, alongside Onemu Shinya, Bigshot, Watchbird, and Tough Grab. Many more go unnamed, and a number of the sidekick designs came from entries submitted to an official hero design contest.
