Chapter 106 (Vigilantes)

Testing whether the Anonymous are truly frozen, Rapt Tokage lobs a rock at one and gets scolded by Moyuru Tochi for risking a detonation. Soga Kugisaki rides up for a status report and hears that Koichi Haimawari and Number 6 have already torn off down the road. He follows, telling the two to find somewhere safe, a suggestion they answer with a shrug about where that might be.

The pursuit runs the length of the street, with Koichi slipping every Detonation attempt. The O'Clock illusion reads the situation correctly: Koichi has pulled the villain clear of the hospital and still intends to reach All Might, and Number 6 has swallowed the bait, a fact he already knows and resents. Another explosive punch comes, and Koichi sidesteps it without effort.

O'Clock deduces that Koichi is tracking his rhythm by sound, registering each leap and dodging on instinct, and suggests cutting the hangtime out of his approach. Number 6 considers how human running topped out near forty-five kilometers per hour before Quirks existed, checked by air resistance beyond that. To fight the drag, he claws at the pavement and hauls himself forward, naming the technique Number 6: Crawler Style.

Watching the man scuttle toward him on all fours, Koichi finds the sight unnerving and vaults into the air, unloading Shooty-Go-Blam-Blam-Blam-Blam in a spread of repulsion blasts. Number 6 weaves through every one of them and closes on Koichi while he is stuck in midair, aiming a detonation at his back. The blow never lands: a repulsion blast erupts from Koichi's spine and stops it, then does so again against the other hand. Landing hard, Number 6 grasps that Slide and Glide can throw force fields from anywhere on the body, and begins asking the larger question of how anyone keeps pace with Overclock.

Koichi leads Number 6 away from the hospital in a high-speed chase, evading every attack thrown at him.

Number 6 invents Crawler Style, gripping the ground to cut air resistance and eliminate the hangtime that betrays his timing.

He learns that Koichi's Slide and Glide projects force fields across his entire body rather than only his hands and feet.

The question of how Koichi matches Overclock's speed begins to trouble him.

The nineteen-page chapter by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court ran on July 24, 2021 within the Naruhata Lockdown arc, collected in volume 13 with The Crawler and Number 6 sharing the cover.

Its serialized title was Tag (Oikakekko), amended to Crawler Chase for the volume.

The Japanese title is rendered in katakana as CHASE OF CRAWLERS. All Might is referenced but does not appear.
