Summary
Izuku Midoriya and Mirio Togata finally get through the door of Eri's hospital room, the visit arranged after Shota Aizawa passes her request along during supplementary lessons. A nurse questions whether it is safe to stand near her; the doctor answers that her energy has settled low enough that Rewind will not run away from her.
Izuku apologizes for not coming sooner while Mirio hands over a basket of fruit. Eri never learned the name of the boy who saved her, which catches him off guard, so he supplies it. She apologizes for all the trouble caused on her account, unaware that Sir Nighteye has died, and blames herself for Mirio losing Permeation. He refuses the blame outright and tells her that everyone is simply glad she is safe. It reaches her, but the smile will not come, and Izuku recognizes how far Overhaul's abuse still reaches into her.
Then an idea lands. He asks Shota whether Eri could attend the School Festival. Mirio pitches it to her as a day of events, crowds and food, candied apples especially, and that last detail catches her attention. Shota phones Nezu for approval. Eri, who wants to know the people who came for her, agrees to go.
Kenji Tsuragamae, sitting in the Police Force office, reviews footage of an unfamiliar villain robbing a store and brushing aside the heroes who try to stop him. The man introduces himself as Gentle Criminal, all flourish and finery, then tells his subordinate La Brava it is time to move. He wants history to keep his name. On a rooftop afterward, La Brava reports that the robbery video is drawing almost nothing. Gentle concludes he will have to accomplish far more before anyone notices, and, pouring tea, says he is still searching for whatever will make him extraordinary.
