Chapter 219

Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki reach a street where a crew has been robbing bystanders, and All Might steers civilians clear. Shoto tells the wannabes that taking people's things is not on and raises the Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall to seal their exits, which the gang's leader punches straight through using a Quirk that controls carbonation. Their crew studied the local patrol patterns before pulling the job, he explains, and a pair of high schoolers will not be stopping them.

He calls a scatter. Katsuki drops several of them mid-flight, though the leader holds him back with high-pressure jets from his gauntlets. Slipping on the recoil, he sends a stray stream into a light pole. A bystander stops to photograph the snow just as it comes down; All Might moves to shield her, and Katsuki blows the pole apart before it lands, then chews the woman out for her carelessness.

Reading the gauntlets as a growing problem, Shoto opens up with Flashfreeze Heatwave and blasts the leader unconscious. Katsuki snaps that this is the same move used against Izuku at the Sports Festival. Shoto only asks whether the suspects are accounted for and the bystander unhurt. Both, Katsuki confirms. All Might walks over with Slidin' Go, who credits the pair with the takedown and predicts they will be top heroes. The leader's gauntlet then detonates and disintegrates, which Slidin' Go shrugs off as typical of shoddy black market goods.

At Detnerat, the President sits with his backers from the Meta Liberation Army. The products he feeds to the black market, he explains, are tracked and built to self-destruct, so nothing traces back to the company. Guards then drag in a badly beaten Giran, who has named no clients despite being known to supply the League with goods and recruits. The President asks his price. Giran mocks the man's face and refuses on principle: he does not deal with people he cannot respect, and he does not sell out customers. Come back when you can do this properly, he laughs. Wearing a slightly manic look, the President answers that they will be spending a great deal of time together.

A flashback set roughly half a month ahead of the Hero Billboard Chart JP ratings shows the League sparring with Gigantomachia, who weeps as he questions his master's intentions.

Katsuki and Shoto put the thieves down, their first outing as licensed heroes.

Giran falls into Meta Liberation Army hands, wanted for what he knows about the League.

A flashback places the League's approach to Gigantomachia ahead of the Billboard Chart ratings.
