King

King dwarfs the people around him, a towering ape much like the other giant creatures of the island. His coat is brown, paling on his hands, face, and chest, and his eyes are green. A run of old scars traces the left side of his body, crossing above his eye, over his mouth, and down his torso.

He shares a fond bond with Killer B, trading fist bumps in greeting, and he carries real authority among the island's animals, stepping in to settle their squabbles. He is quick to temper where affection is concerned, flaring with jealousy over the creature Armadiko before the group learns the truth about her.

King first confronts a party of Kumo and Konoha ninja as Motoi guides them across the island, and he is on the verge of attacking before B calms him and the two exchange a friendly fist bump. He later looks on with the bears, including Kintoki, as Guy throws open his Eight Gates.

His part grows in the anime, where he warns Naruto to keep three of the island's fiercest animals, Chūji, Don, and Hippo Boss, apart, since they are feuding over one female's affections. When King demands the female be produced, Armadiko appears, and he is stunned to hear she has fallen for Naruto instead. The beasts round on Naruto in a jealous rage, only to be humbled after the Island Turtle is flipped and, in the aftermath, they discover that Armadiko is in fact male.
