The Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki: Obito

The assembled shinobi stare in bewilderment as the Ten-Tails disappears from the field. Watching through his Byakugan, Hiashi answers Sakura's question relayed to Hinata about what has happened: Obito has triggered a sealing technique that drew the entire beast into his own body, making him its fresh jinchuriki. Rising in a transformed shape, Obito prompts Naruto to confirm that he resisted Madara's grip and drew on a different jutsu than the one used to revive him. Killer B, checking with Gyuki, verifies that the Ten-Tails never reached its final form and is instead sealed inside Obito.

Hashirama tries to pin Obito down with the Sage Art: Gate of the Great God, yet the same restraint that once held the beast fails against Obito's amplified might. He sprouts four chakra arms and tears through the barrier the four Hokage had raised. Hashirama warns everyone of the danger while Minato begs Obito to stop, drawing only a confused echo of his own name in reply.

Obito seals the Ten-Tails inside himself and takes on a new form, resisting Madara's control. He rips apart the Four Red Yang Formation barrier with four chakra arms after shrugging off Hashirama's restraint. Hashirama openly declares Obito stronger than himself, a judgment Hiruzen and Tobirama echo, and as Madara readies a trump card of his own, Obito blindsides the First and Second Hokage and tears through their reincarnated bodies.

The chapter is part of the Fourth Shinobi World War: Climax arc and was collected in volume 67. To mark the 45th anniversary of Weekly Shonen Jump, a Naruto: Colour Edition version was issued exclusively for the premium digital release of Weekly Shonen Jump 2013 #33 and the official English edition.
