Naruto makes his way down the crater and tells Boruto he spared Delta on purpose, meaning to seize and question her. That plan alarms Kawaki, who begs Naruto to finish her off while the chance remains. Delta's body then starts to whir, and Naruto leaps clear with both children as she detonates; Kawaki notes this is exactly the sort of people Kara produces. As Delta's drone withdraws, Koji observes everything through the eyes of his toad, judging Naruto frighteningly strong yet still no match for Jigen, and convinced that Boruto's Kāma holds the answer to beating him. Rather than replace Kawaki's arm outright, Naruto has Katasuke fit him with a high-performance hand, a job that needs considerable preparation. When Naruto suggests using one of the prototypes built for himself, Katasuke warns that each device answers only to the chakra of its intended owner, so Naruto siphons off a sliver of his own chakra to power it anyway.

Naruto compares the steady drain to keeping a shadow clone running, harmless while he sleeps, and a round of jokes lightens the mood before the scene shifts to the Kara base. There Amado reactivates one of two spare Delta bodies, and the revived Delta bursts from her container swearing at Naruto. Roaming the base, Delta swears the job of killing the Hokage belongs to her, but Code calls her outmatched and Jigen cuts the argument short to ask after Koji, who lingers hidden in Konohagakure guarding Kawaki. Delta also drops a bombshell: a third Kāma bearer exists beyond Jigen and Kawaki, and it is not Sasuke but Boruto, whose mark she saw resonate with Kawaki's, a legacy Jigen credits to Momoshiki's dying move while Amado looks on in silence.

Back home, Kawaki cannot fathom why Naruto invests so much in him, and Naruto simply says the boy reminds him of his own younger self, having shielded him and Himawari. Kawaki asks to be taught ninjutsu and sets about mending Himawari's vase, later scoring a rare Fourth Hokage card he offers to trade Boruto once he learns Minato is the boy's grandfather. When the repaired vase leaks from a missing shard and he moves to search for it, Kurama rises from the sleeping Naruto to warn him against straying off alone.
