Categorized within the Zoan class of Devil Fruit, this power turns whoever eats it into a creature modeled on a bat. Its owner is Stussy. The English rendering of the name is the Bat-Bat Fruit, and the Japanese Batto simply borrows the pronunciation of the word "bat." It made its debut in Chapter 1072 and Episode 1104.

As with the rest of the Zoan lineage, the fruit supplies more than one alternate shape: the eater may become a complete bat or settle into a blended bat-and-human state. That hybrid state produces wings sprouting from the back and, more dangerously, fangs. Sinking those fangs into a victim's flesh lets the user siphon out blood the way a vampire would, and anyone drained this way goes limp and falls asleep almost at once. Stussy proved how lethal this is by taking down assassins of Rob Lucci's and Kaku's caliber, catching the latter while he was in his awakened Giraffe form. The anime adds a heat-sensing sight that reveals warmth flowing through nearby blood. Beyond the universal vulnerabilities every Devil Fruit shares, no distinct flaw has surfaced.

Stussy leans on this power for quiet, ambush-style fighting, saving it for enemies she judges to be tougher than herself. Because the blood-draining effect works so rapidly, a single well-placed bite lets her put a target to sleep whenever she manages to close the distance or strike from a blind spot. She used exactly this approach to leave Lucci unconscious.
