An anime-only Paramecia fruit that lets its user sense an animal's heart and converse with creatures by a kind of telepathy. Eaten by the girl Apis, it even seems to reach Sea Kings.
Appearing only in the anime, this Paramecia lets its eater perceive what an animal feels and effectively speak with creatures mind to mind. It belongs to Apis, a young girl the Straw Hats encounter early in their voyage. The fruit takes its name from hisohiso, Japanese for whisperingly, a nod to the soft voice the user can hear from animals.
The power opens a telepathic line to animals, and it apparently extends even to Sea Kings, since Apis once sensed them beneath the water before any of the crew did. By winning a creature's trust she can be warned of danger well ahead of time. No special vulnerability has surfaced beyond the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses. Notably the fruit has almost no direct offensive application, setting it apart from most Paramecia.
Apis is the lone user. She first showed the ability when Nelson's Marines attacked the Going Merry and seagulls told her of an oncoming gale, letting everyone slip away. She also used it to talk with her dragon companion, Ryu. Animals seem drawn to her, with birds repeatedly seeking her out to flag danger, though it is unclear whether that warmth is the fruit's doing or simply Apis herself. The effect resembles both the Voice of All Things and Tony Tony Chopper's rapport with animals, the latter stemming from the Hito Hito no Mi.
