Known as the Water Buffalo, Atmos commanded the 13th division of the Whitebeard Pirates. A veteran who sailed with the crew since the era of Gol D. Roger, he fought at Marineford in the failed bid to save Ace.
Atmos is an enormous man, comparable in bulk to Jozu, whose armored look he oddly echoes with sleeveless gray-and-gold plating. A weathered gray helmet sprouting bull horns lends him the buffalo likeness behind his nickname. Black hair falls in a mane to his waist, matched by an equally long beard, and a pair of square, upward-jutting tusks recall a walrus. The silhouette of Whitebeard's Jolly Roger is tattooed in purple on each of his arms.
His devotion to Whitebeard ran deep enough that he would gamble his life to free Ace from execution, and he broke down in open grief when both Ace and his captain were slain. Boldness defined him too, as he squared off against the Warlord Donquixote Doflamingo alone, yet he was quick to admit when he was outmatched, nervously warning his crewmates once Doflamingo's strings seized control of his body.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...
Atmos belonged to the Whitebeard Pirates as far back as Roger's time. Three decades ago he was aboard when the crew first reached Wano, where they met Kozuki Oden after a brief skirmish. He watched Oden cling to a chain dragging behind the Moby Dick to earn his place, then joined the adventures that followed and the later three-day clash with the Roger Pirates that ended in a gift exchange. As commander he held authority over his division and wielded two great swords capable of devastating strikes.
At Marineford he arrived with the other division commanders to rescue Ace. After confronting Doflamingo, he was turned into a puppet and forced to swing at his own men before breaking free and rejoining the fight. He stood among the commanders shielding Whitebeard's back, cheered as Ace was released, then looked on in horror as Akainu's fist punched through Ace and wept as the Blackbeard Pirates cut down Whitebeard. He readied himself alongside Crocodile and others to face Akainu, survived the war, and departed when Shanks and Sengoku ended it. He later attended the funeral for Whitebeard and Ace. A year afterward the crew's remnants lost the Payback War to Blackbeard and vanished into hiding.
