Bishamon

Bishamon is a stubby man whose reddish skin sits beneath an outsized head and slender arms and legs. His face features a jutting nose, round eyes, full cheeks, and a curled-up lower lip, finished with a thin black mustache and brows that slope downward. He sports a silver helmet trimmed with green side flaps and a purple tuft at the rear, a collar striped red and yellow, a green robe, and sleeveless green gloves.

Few details of his temperament are known. He shares the Oniwabanshu's loyalty to Orochi. He is also easily spooked by anything ghostly, bolting in fright when Brook gave chase to him and others in his unit.

Bishamon's training lets him move in near silence, enough that his group crept up on Robin undetected, and he can scale vertical surfaces, once perching on the upright edge of a railing. His specialty technique is Suiton, or Water-Escape.

While O-Robi prowled Orochi Castle, Bishamon and the other Oniwabanshu materialized behind her and ringed her in before she noticed. Her escape startled him, and on Fukurokuju's order the ninja spread out to hunt her. They cornered Robin and Toko, but Brook frightened Bishamon, Chome, and Daikoku until the last realized the skeleton could not actually strike them. After Shimotsuki Yasuie's execution, the Oniwabanshu came to help repel the Straw Hats, and Brook spooked Bishamon, Chome, and Sarutobi once more. On the day of the Fire Festival he escorted Orochi to Onigashima, and once Kaidou removed Orochi for his New Onigashima Project, Bishamon raised no objection as Fukurokuju pledged the group to Kaidou rather than face death. He was later among those astonished when a young, Ice Oni-infected Hyougoro reverted to his former yakuza-boss self.
