Bizarre

Bizarre is built on a huge scale, broad through the chest with unusually long arms. A pair of golden metal jaws covers his mouth, and grey hair spills down alongside a long grey beard. He tops the look with a tattered black pirate hat bearing his Jolly Roger, worn over a purple bandanna, and rounds it out with squared shoulder pads and long white gloves.

What little is known of Bizarre points to fierce loyalty. He was ready to throw away his own life to pull Ace from the execution platform rather than slip away through the escape route Whitebeard's power had opened. For all his menacing look, he also shows a streak of level-headedness, urging Ace to ignore Akainu's taunts and keep moving toward safety.

Bizarre swings a massive katana with a square guard, gripping it two-handed as he charges, which suggests genuine skill with the blade. As a feared captain who had built an infamous name across the New World, he and his crew came to serve as subordinates of the Whitebeard Pirates.

When Ace faced execution at Marineford, Bizarre and his men joined the assault, battering the Marines out of the bay before pushing inside. After Squard stabbed Whitebeard and accused him of trading away his allied crews to save Ace, Bizarre's faith wavered, only to swing back to joy once he realized the Emperor had seen through the Marines' deception. He warned Ace away from Akainu's provocations but could not stop him from the fatal clash.

In non-canon material that followed, the anime shows Bizarre attending the funeral of Whitebeard and Ace, a scene absent from the manga, and a filler news report on Kizaru's desk records his defeat at the hands of Edward Weevil.
