Built short and round, Buche keeps his dark hair cropped close and grows a sweeping handlebar mustache. A second band of facial hair sits below the main mustache, linking the sideburns on each cheek. His outfit pairs a dark buttoned shirt topped with a sash, an apron knotted at his middle, and a broad beret crowning his head.

Buche serves the Charlotte Family and the Big Mom Pirates with steadfast devotion. Tasked with assisting Pudding on her cake, he spoke up to question whether the deadline was realistic, but Chiffon's intimidation quickly silenced his doubts and brought him back into step.

When Big Mom's craving for wedding cake spiraled into a rampage, Buche and thirty other celebrated head chefs were gathered on Cacao Island to support Charlotte Pudding's baking. As Pudding, Chiffon, and Sanji arrived, the assembled cooks reported in and were sent one at a time into the Sweets Factory. Inside, Pudding rewrote Buche's memories with the Memo Memo no Mi, planting the false belief that her wedding to Sanji had gone off without trouble and that bad weather had wrecked the original cake. Told the replacement had to be finished within two hours and forty minutes, Buche balked at the tight window until Chiffon pressed the chefs into compliance, and the baking got underway.

Once the cake was done, the cooks loaded it onto a cart and continued adding final flourishes, only to be ordered to move it onto the Nostra Castello, the Fire Tank Pirates' ship. Buche boarded with the others to keep decorating, and by the time their work was complete the chefs all collapsed from sheer exhaustion. Capone Bege then ferried the cake and the worn-out cooks toward Funwari Island, but the vessel, already battered by Prometheus, broke apart the moment it touched land. What became of the WCI 31 afterward is unknown.
