As a rear admiral, Catacombo holds genuine command over the lower Marines, including, in non-canon accounts, the Grove 66 base on the Sabaody Archipelago. He first surfaces leading an assault on the newly reunited Straw Hats there, only for Hancock to swing her own vessel across the path of the Marine ship so that Luffy can slip safely away. He later appears at New Marineford as the Marines eavesdrop on a conversation between Big Mom and Kaidou. His name reads as a play on the words "catacomb" and "combo," and he was ultimately written out of One Piece Fan Letter entirely.
