Everyone is Gathered - Luffy Sets Sail to the New World

Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji make their way to Grove 42. As the three arrive at the Thousand Sunny and the crew comes back together, soldiers move in, but the Kuja Pirates intercept them, buying the Straw Hats the moment they need to descend below the waves toward Fish-Man Island.

The women of Amazon Lily arrive to check on Luffy, and the three swordsmen thank Rayleigh, who recalls the brutal training and grows emotional. He carves a line in the ground and warns the pursuing Marines not to step over it. Perona resurfaces after two years, wielding her Negative Hollow on the soldiers and leaving Sanji a crumpled wreck, just as Chopper swoops in on a giant bird to ferry the group to Grove 42. Brook drops aboard from the Rosy Life Riders and promptly gets kicked by Nami for his usual request. Once everyone is finally assembled, Sanji's nose erupts at the sight of Nami and Robin and he topples into the sea, with Usopp pulling him back. The Marines open fire, the Kuja Pirates cut them off, and the crew marvels at Boa Hancock. Franky dives beneath the hull to release the air sack and inflate the coating, and after thanking his friends and crew, Luffy gives the order to sail as the ship slips under.

This marks the first time the Straw Hats appear together since Episode 404, ending two years of separation. The adaptation expands the training flashbacks with Rayleigh, has Sanji try to pounce on Perona before she retaliates, gives Franky extra hairstyles, and shows the giant bird attacking a Marine vessel. Sanji also attempts to impress Nami by kicking away a cannonball before suffering another nosebleed. Whereas the manga shows Rayleigh tearing up at Luffy's declaration, the anime places it after he resumes running. The opening corrects the spelling of Usopp's romanized name on his nameboard. The installment closes the Return to Sabaody Arc, with a shorter excerpt of We Go playing over the ending.
