Doringo was a swordsman who sailed with the legendary Roger Pirates until the crew disbanded. He appears throughout flashbacks to the Pirate King's voyage, and his fate after the crew parted ways is left unknown.
On the shorter side, Doringo has spiky hair, notably long limbs, and a broad smile. His earlier outfit paired a two-tone jacket, its dark sleeves marked by a pale stripe each, with a light bandana, dark shorts, and a single sheath carrying both of his blades; the wing-like shapes on his back were actually built into that jacket. Later he switched to an open, vertically striped shirt with cuffed sleeves, a dark bandana, dark pants, and a pale sash knotted at his waist.
Doringo is devoted to his captain and shipmates, throwing himself into battle at their side. Like much of the crew he was cool toward Kouzuki Oden when Roger first brought him aboard, but he came around to the newcomer before long. He comes across as upbeat, bursting into laughter when Rayleigh, even mid-rescue, urged everyone to scoop up the scattered treasure. His personal laugh runs "Da-ha-ha."

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...
Doringo joined the Roger Pirates at some point and was present at God Valley, where the crew rescued Shakuyaku. After John's failed use of his powers scattered the island's treasures, Rayleigh told the crew to gather them, and Doringo, scoffing at the idea, pitched in anyway. He also weathered a burst of Supreme King Haki from Imu without trouble, a mark of his strong will, and twenty-seven years before the present he fought the Golden Lion Pirates at the Battle of Edd War.
A year on, in Paradise, the crew clashed with the Whitebeard Pirates for four days until the brawl mellowed into an exchange of gifts, and Oden was welcomed aboard the Oro Jackson. Doringo journeyed with them to Fish-Man Island, Wano, Zou, and finally Laugh Tale, witnessing the treasure Joy Boy left behind. After Roger named the island and chose to break up the crew, the pirates held a final party, returned Oden home, and went their separate ways, with Doringo's whereabouts since then unrecorded.
