Époni

A large woman with black hair cut to shoulder length, Époni is dressed in a French maid's uniform.

Faithful and obedient toward the Vinsmoke Family, she was especially devoted to Sora. Toward young Sanji she showed warmth and friendliness, though she never sugarcoated her honest verdict on his cooking.

Époni holds a measure of both medical and culinary skill, tending the bedridden Sora and preparing nourishing meals for her. More than thirteen years ago she was assigned to care for the gravely ill queen after Sora secretly dosed herself with a drug to undo the effects of the Lineage Factor surgery forced upon her. Through Sora's final years Époni stayed loyally at her bedside.

The queen was occasionally visited by her daughter Reiju and her third son Sanji, with Époni usually near. During one visit Sanji presented food he had cooked for Sora; Époni warned that the queen could rarely keep anything down and sampled it herself, finding it dreadful. She swapped it for another dish, but Sora insisted on eating Sanji's cooking. Though Époni admitted she had already thrown it out, the queen demanded it back, ate it, and called it delicious, stunning Époni and delighting Sanji. Later, during a visit by Reiju in which Sora recounted the meal, Époni stood awkwardly by as the queen was moved to tears by her son's kindness.
