Vinsmoke Family

This royal house rules the seafaring Germa Kingdom and once held the entire North Blue as conquering monarchs. They are equally notorious as a feared clan of Underworld killers, and they are the family Sanji originally comes from. As an extension of their crown, they lead the kingdom's mercenary force, Germa 66. Roughly three centuries ago they founded and ruled the Germa Empire after subjugating all of North Blue, only to be toppled a mere sixty-six days later, yet they kept their royal authority and the right to attend the Levely. Their patriarch even wields enough sway to alter the bounty system directly. Following their conduct in Totto Land, however, the World Government severed every tie with the kingdom.

The family makes its living through the Underworld, leading Germa 66 in paid warfare against other militaries and waging constant campaigns to reclaim their lost dominion over North Blue. Unusually among royals, they personally take the battlefield to direct their own troops. Their edge lies in technology: each member fights in a Raid Suit that grants flight, huge leaps, and devastating kicks, gear so coveted that even Emperor Big Mom wanted it. They also pioneered cloning, producing a near-limitless army, plus the genetic engineering that gave the patriarch's children superhuman abilities. Their programmed clone soldiers obey without hesitation, even forming a living shield called Wall on command. In the World Economic Journal's propaganda comic Sora, Warrior of the Sea, Germa 66 stands in as the villains opposing the fictional Marine hero Sora.

The house consists of patriarch Vinsmoke Judge, his daughter Reiju, and four sons born on the same day: Ichiji, Niji, Sanji and Yonji. Judge engineered the children in the womb to become emotionless military commanders, but their mother Sora secretly took a drug to undo it, dying from the effects while the dose worked only on Sanji. Branded a failure, Sanji was bullied, disowned, and eventually fled to the East Blue to become a cook. Years later Judge arranged Sanji's marriage to Charlotte Pudding to ally with Big Mom, who secretly plotted to slaughter the Vinsmokes and seize Germa. When the trap sprang at the wedding, Sanji freed his captured family, and they fought the Big Mom Pirates side by side with the Straw Hats and Fire Tank Pirates before escaping Totto Land. Each sibling carries a color-coded epithet and fighting style, from Reiju's Poison Pink to Sanji's Stealth Black.
