Flip

An old man of at least fifty, Flip carries clear family resemblance, sporting the red hair and mustache of his father Wetton along with the same heavy black eyebrows.

There is a streak of cruelty in Flip, who takes pleasure in heaping guilt on others and seems to relish the fear his Collection Party stirs whenever it shows up. He also has a loose mouth, blurting out secrets much like his son Lake, to Wetton's irritation. By Ian's account, the young Flip was a chronic bedwetter.

Flip never showed off any combat skill on screen. His method of squeezing money from citizens leaned on the raw numbers of armed soldiers at his back, plus outright bullying and pocketing of their cash. In his lone scuffle, against Sanji and Chopper, he fired a bazooka loaded with a net to pin them down so Wetton's Silver Barbecue attack could follow. He first turned up while the Straw Hat Pirates were dining, welcoming the crowd before ordering a man's wallet seized under an eating tax. He then needled the scientist Henzo about how tax money funded his research and slapped Luffy with a large-portion tax, which Luffy cheerfully pinned on Usopp. In the end Flip was arrested alongside his father and son by Rapanui Pasqua.
