Appearance

True to the crew's name, several of its members are styled after disease imagery. Captain Sukare Tainen sports what looks like skull-shaped face paint, a nod to how dangerous certain germs can be, and the gloves he wears suggest the hygiene measures people take to avoid infection. Among his followers, Mezasuzowan Pisuo has thorn-like hair resembling the spikes of a microbe, Shikon Kettai balances a skull atop a hat, and Sukare Karehosui appears to have antennae and, like the captain, wears gloves. The crew flies a Jolly Roger that takes the form of a skull set against a smudged blot.

Personality

The Germ Pirates conduct themselves as opportunists rather than fearsome raiders, striking only at territories whose rulers happen to be away. This cowardly approach left them no match for a stronger force, and the Fire Tank Pirates put them down without much trouble.

History

The defining weapon of the crew is a contagion called the Kiss-Kiss Germ, an infection that compels anyone afflicted to start kissing the people nearby. They put it to use while Riku Doldo III was attending the Levely, descending on Dressrosa to plunder it and spreading the germ among its residents. Wanting to keep the disturbance from drawing the Marines, Capone Bege and his Fire Tank Pirates stepped in, fought the intruders, and brought them under control.
