Personality

Kendiyo proves a faint-hearted pirate. Beaten and taken by the Kid Pirates, he longed only to flee and bring his crew safely back to Paradise. That said, he clearly cares for his men, pleading with Kid to let the whole crew leave the New World alive.

History

Reaching the New World at all suggests Kendiyo possessed some measure of strength, yet neither the region's brutal conditions nor Eustass Kid proved within his ability to overcome, and Kid captured him there. He landed on a New World island while the Kid Pirates were present, and his entire crew was taken. As Kid and Killer discussed Luffy, Kendiyo begged to be allowed back to Paradise alive. Judging that he lacked the resolve to face the New World, Kid crucified him together with his whole crew. He owns a sword and is presumed competent with it.
