Natte ranked as a feeble fighter, put down with ease by Kawamatsu, and he wielded a sword in a bid to kill the swordsman. When chaos from Luffy's escape cracked open Kawamatsu's cage, Warden Babanuki ordered the prisoner finished off. Natte joined Nodoi Wakan and Neoki in rushing the still-handcuffed captive. He and Neoki recoiled as Kawamatsu spat a fishbone into Wakan's neck. A moment later Raizo hurled Kawamatsu's blade into the cage, and the freed warrior dispatched all three Waiters.
