Appearance

With a paunch, a chubby face, dense eyebrows, and full lips, Manjaro looks nothing like the man he imitates apart from a few borrowed touches. He copies Zoro's hairstyle, earrings, and plain shirt to sell the act, but the likeness goes no further. Completing the costume are a studded metal belt, shorts bearing the number 34 on the front-left, and white shoes. For his Heat disguise he instead wears a tangled mane with a corded corset and matching pants.

Personality

Where the genuine Zoro clashes with Sanji, Manjaro is on friendly terms with the fake cook. His loyalty, though, belongs to Demalo Black, the counterfeit Luffy, whose commands he follows at once, even consenting to forget the fake Robin the moment Black said so. He ranks among the cleverer impostors, swiftly identifying the real Chopper and gathering that a disguised Luffy was linked to the actual Straw Hats, then drawing him toward his boss without tipping his hand. When the whole scheme came undone, his courage evaporated and he was left whimpering to Caribou for mercy.

History

As befits a fraud, Manjaro holds no genuine combat skill. Running winds him almost instantly and leaves a stitch in his side, and the Caribou Pirates forced him to his knees with no trouble. Echoing Zoro, he hauls around three swords as a nod to the Three Sword Style, though they are plain sabers rather than katana and he was never seen putting them to use.

He worked beside the phony Sanji, Robin, and Chopper. When the four caught sight of the true Chopper, they figured he had been left behind when the real crew disappeared two years prior, and they plotted to grab him and toss aside their decoy. After unknown men seized the fake Robin and Chopper, Manjaro and the fake Sanji walked the real Chopper, still fooled at that point, back to Demalo Black, whose order to drop the fake Robin sent Chopper running. Told that this was the genuine Chopper, the boss directed the pair to bring him in. Failing to locate him, the two instead bumped into the real Luffy under a cloak and false mustache, did not see through it, and delivered him to their leader.

Soon the assembly was set upon by the Marines, Sentomaru, and a pair of Pacifista. Sentomaru crushed the fake Luffy, and PX-5 laid bare that Demalo Black was a low-grade pirate carrying a bounty of just 26,000,000. Terrified of the furious recruits, Manjaro bolted with the other impostors, and when Luffy had to drop his cover, he, Drip, and the fake Sogeking foamed at the mouth in panic. The fakes slipped away from the battle only to fall into the hands of Caribou and Coribou, pleading for their lives while Coribou readied to entomb them in the earth. Manjaro pulled through, and after the crew remade itself as the Kid Pirates he adopted Heat's identity, eventually being locked up at the G-4 Marine Base with Turco, Black, and Drip, where they caught Vegapunk's worldwide broadcast.
