Nash

Nash resembles a shield banded in red and orange within a light brown frame, fitted with a face of its own: a pair of eyes and a mouth carrying an outsized tongue. Coloring differs between media, since the anime first drew the bands as greyish green, while the Digitally Colored Manga tints them blue and yellow and gives the frame a yellow shade to match.

For something built to absorb attacks, Nash proves remarkably timid, begging Goldberg to quit after being raised against a Groggysaurus. It regards top-tier homies with awe, falling into utter disbelief when it heard that Zeus had quit Big Mom to wait on Nami. Left idle, Nash is prone to dozing, and is often spotted asleep on its keeper's back.

Being a giant's shield, Nash is enormously durable, halting a Groggysaurus and shattering its teeth on contact. It can also expand, growing larger and thicker to repel bigger foes and soak up heavy strikes, though the effort drains it. Its history begins as a plain shield that the Soru Soru no Mi brought to life while Goldberg's father set out to bring down Big Mom, after which it came into Goldberg's keeping. A cover story showed Goldberg gripping Nash once the New Giant Warrior Pirates left Buggy's Delivery behind. Through the Elbaph events it traveled with Goldberg on various errands, frequently asleep, and startled awake when Luffy rescued a falling svarr. Goldberg raised it during a standoff with the freed Loki, and afterward, while hunting meat with Zoro and Sanji, used it to fend off a Groggysaurus before recounting its creation, which set up its stunned reaction to the news about Zeus.
