In the Dark Recesses of the Holyland - A Mysterious Giant Straw Hat

Gathered among the visiting royalty, Vivi, Rebecca, and Shirahoshi keep trading stories about their time with Luffy, including his enormous appetite. Sai reconnects with Rebecca and Leo, and the two of them explain to Shirahoshi how they came to serve under the Straw Hat captain. Vivi crosses paths with Wapol, who has seized control of yet another nation, and the encounter is far less warm than her happy reunion with Dalton and Kureha from her past travels.

Most of the episode revisits the crew's stop at Drum Island, where a sickened Nami forced them ashore. Vivi recounts how Wapol abandoned his frozen country before reclaiming it, how Luffy hurled the tyrant away, and how a young Chopper, raised by the quack Hiriluk and later trained by Kureha, ended up joining the pirates. In the present, the imprisoned Doflamingo hints that he holds a secret about Mary Geoise, while a hooded figure clutching Luffy's bounty poster walks toward a giant straw hat hidden in Pangaea Castle.

Sai is acknowledged as the fresh leader of the Happo Navy, and he and Leo recount their loyalty to Luffy. Vivi narrates the Drum Island chapter of the crew's history, covering Wapol's defeat and Chopper's recruitment. Doflamingo, bound on the lowest floor of Impel Down, boasts that he understands the truth behind the Holy Land. The episode closes on the cloaked figure, later revealed as Imu, advancing toward the oversized straw hat.

This installment serves as a recap of the Drum Island Arc and marks the debut of Nash and Imu, along with the first anime look at the New Giant Warrior Pirates.
