Norinosuke

Lean and of middling height, Norinosuke wears his brown hair long and paints heavy black makeup around his mouth and eyes. A white joe over purple trousers forms his dress, a band of lit candles encircles his head atop a white headband, and an onusa wand rests in his hand. His face is a near match for his son Holed'em's, and the whole outfit follows the ceremonial robes worn by a kannushi priest.

Devotion runs deeper in Norinosuke than in most who live in Wano, a fact his holy garments announce. Though many no longer hold the white boars to be divine, he keeps the faith and urges those near him to return Koyama to the mountains. He pleaded with Kin'emon to back off from a fight with the Mountain God, insisting that wounding the creature would bring the whole country down. He likewise trusts the tales told about Kouzuki Oden, and felt no surprise when Oden owned up to having lured the beast into the capital.

Forty-one years earlier, Norinosuke happened to be in the Flower Capital on the day Kin'emon accidentally drew the Mountain God into its streets. With the people in a panic, he urged the crowd to return the deity's child to the mountains and calm its rage.

After Kin'emon found out the Mountain God had eaten Tsurujo and went to strike it, Norinosuke and another priest ordered him to halt, warning that any injury to the god would leave Wano in ruin. Once the assault failed and Kouzuki Oden claimed he had taken the baby boar, Norinosuke heaped insults on him and roused the townsfolk to hurl stones his way. Eleven years on, the birth of Holed'em made Norinosuke a father.
