Okame

Vivid red colors Okame's cheeks, set against short black hair and a lean frame. By adulthood she favors a long sleeveless dress in pink, banded with purple stripes at the waist and bearing the kanji for sand across the front, finished with a white hat and a sizable sword slung over her back. Her younger self looked rounder in the face and dressed differently, in a horizontally striped robe topped by a beret-style cap.

When Vivi and Koza came to blows, Okame threw her support behind Vivi, perhaps out of a shared bond between two girls. She kept mostly quiet, yet courage was never in short supply, and she put herself between Vivi and a pack of thugs to shield her.

As a child of the Sand-Sand Clan, Okame cheered Vivi on when the girl challenged Koza for command of the group. Soon after, when Agotogi and his gang came hunting Vivi, Okame fought beside Koza and the other children, swinging a wooden club to buy Vivi a chance to flee. The defenders held the thugs off briefly before being overwhelmed.

Years onward she joined the Rebel Army that Koza led during the Arabasta conflict, one of several former clan members to follow him into the uprising. Whether she possesses any real skill with the sword she now carries remains unconfirmed.
