Peterman

Bulky through the chest and shoulders, Peterman pairs a heavily muscled torso with limbs that look slender by comparison. Studs appear to jut from his shoulders, and he keeps fuzzy black hair above a flattened nose and thin, pointed lips. For clothing he layers a green vest over a brown shirt, adds black trousers, and tops the look with a pointed yellow hat bearing a red-tipped white feather. Frilled boots finish the outfit.

Greed defines him. He plots to put Camie on the auction block while handing the bounty hunters who tipped him off a paltry tenth of whatever she fetches. That readiness to traffic in human lives shows how little he cares for any sense of right or wrong.

Two bounty hunters who had earlier clashed with the Straw Hats, Kairiken and Minoruba, told Peterman that the mermaid Camie was visiting Sabaody Park. He struck a bargain to pass them a tenth of whatever she sold for, then went to grab her. Disguised as a park mascot, he watched the Straw Hats and their companions relax before dropping the act and seizing Camie. He delivered her to the Human Auctioning House, intending to return for his cut once a buyer paid. That payday never arrived. Duval and the Rosy Life Riders helped the Straw Hats free her, and Duval thrashed Peterman afterward, reclaiming Camie's bag in the process. Leading the Hound Pets outright, Peterman holds enough clout that bounty hunters sought him out for help, and he favors a bow and arrows when forced to fight.
