Leaving Shakky's bar to search for Rayleigh, Luffy's group instead gets swept up in the attractions of Sabaody Park, spending the day having fun and even granting Camie her wish to ride the Ferris wheel. They fail to notice that a kidnapper named Peterman is shadowing them, having learned from earlier bounty hunters that Camie is a mermaid worth a fortune.

On another part of the archipelago, Saint Charlos kicks a critically injured man off his stretcher, then claims the attractive nurse Marie as his thirteenth wife and shoots her fiance for objecting. Zoro stumbles into the scene, unaware of who the World Nobles are, and his blunt words provoke Charlos into firing at him.
