Salome

Salome is a sizable white serpent marked with large pink spots running the length of her body, her belly a pale yellow crossed by slim black lines. A cracked horned skull rests on her head, blue hair pokes out from behind it, and a purple scarf, rendered deep blue in the manga, wraps around her neck. She nearly always wears what looks like a grin. The manga also depicted her skin in a pink tone lighter than her spots.

For a reptile, Salome behaves in a cheerful, easygoing manner. Her bond with Hancock runs deep, and she frets over her owner's health, as she did when Hancock lay bedridden with Love Sickness. Whatever the circumstances, the snake keeps her constant smile. She also has a clear appetite, happily eating alongside Luffy aboard a Marine ship.

Because of her enormous size, Salome most often loops her body into a seat or spiral so Hancock can perch on her like a throne, and that same bulk lets Hancock gain extra height to rain down her Slave Arrow from the air. The snake can also locate objects on the seabed, sensing Whitebeard's seaquake before it struck and helping Hancock trail Trafalgar Law's submarine. A powerful swimmer, she once dove to rescue Luffy in mere moments. Across the non-canon Pirate Warriors titles she strikes with her body or reshapes into a bow that fires Slave Arrows, a move dubbed Prisoner Crossbow in Pirate Warriors 4.
