Tank Lepanto commands the Self-Defense Army of Dressrosa and is a devoted loyalist of the Riku Family. He entered the Corrida Colosseum as a gladiator to contend for the Mera Mera no Mi during the kingdom's crisis.
Tank is an immense, heavily muscled man whose legs look comically small against the rest of his bulk. A thick, dark, pointed beard juts from his chin. For his colosseum bout he stripped down to a single shoulder guard tethered by a chain, paired with a dark skirt, a belt, and boots. In peacetime he is shown in ordinary clothing.
Above all, Tank is a Riku Family man, one who suffered through Doflamingo's reign. To grab the Mera Mera no Mi, he accepted payment to side with Dagama, Elizabello, and other fighters against Bellamy, declaring that he prefers following orders for compensation over chasing grand dreams. His drive to win runs strong regardless of cost, and he was shrewd enough to mark Bellamy as B Block's most dangerous threat and strike first.
His loyalty to former king Riku Doldo III is unwavering. He carried out the king's painful order to collect ransom money, was prepared to defy Doflamingo's ban by seeking outside aid, and instantly grasped that the king was being puppeteered when the soldiers' bodies began moving against their will. He stayed under Doflamingo only to watch over Princess Viola, and a decade later he wept with joy upon recognizing his disguised king. His hatred of Doflamingo runs just as deep, and it fueled the contempt he showed Bellamy in their fight.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...
Tank earned his rank as commander of Dressrosa's Self-Defense Army and served Riku Doldo III faithfully. When Doflamingo extorted ten billion Berries, Tank helped gather the funds from the citizens, only for Doflamingo to seize control of the king and then the soldiers, forcing them to assault innocents. After the Riku Family was overthrown, Tank kept his post under the oppressive new regime and prevented Viola from acting rashly after Scarlett's death.
Tank joined the Corrida Colosseum's B Block battle royale, allying with the Prodence Kingdom against Bellamy and plowing through rival gladiators with his spiked ball and chain. After clashing with Bellamy, who blocked and countered him, he was ultimately beaten unconscious by Abdullah and Jeet. Cast into the underground dungeon with the other losers, he recognized the gladiator Ricky as his old king and tearfully reaffirmed his loyalty, snapping at Dagama for blaming Doldo over events he never understood.
Once Doflamingo sealed Dressrosa in the Birdcage, Tank escaped and regrouped on the old King's Plateau with Doldo, Viola, and the rebels. He helped shield the group, held back the controlled citizens so Usopp could snipe Sugar, and watched in awe as Zoro toppled Pica. Alongside Doldo, he joined the effort to push back the Birdcage long enough for Luffy to defeat Doflamingo. In the aftermath he sheltered the displaced and the allied fighters, stood beside Doldo as he reclaimed the throne, and later helped rebuild the kingdom.
