Taro sailed under Gol D. Roger as one of the Roger Pirates, fighting beside the crew from the God Valley Incident through the voyage to Laugh Tale. A swordsman who later carried a polearm, he shared in the legendary journey before the crew disbanded.
Of roughly ordinary build, Taro is a young man whose pale hair is shaped a bit like a chestnut, with goggles resting on his crown. One outfit pairs a light, open coat sporting upturned collars over dark trousers. In another, he layers a dark coat above a pale shirt that bears his own name, TARO, spelled across the front.
Devotion to his captain and shipmates defines Taro, who threw himself into combat alongside them. He greeted Kouzuki Oden with the same chilly reception the rest of the crew gave at first, then came around to him fast. True to a pirate's heart, he delighted in plunder, beaming at the rich haul found on God Valley.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...
Serving the future Pirate King's crew implies real fighting skill, and indeed Taro walked away from the God Valley Incident alive and unhurt. His resolve held firm even under Imu's overwhelming Conqueror's Haki, which rattled but did not break him. He fought with a sword, kept a knife on hand, and by God Valley wielded a naginata-like polearm.
Around forty-two years before the present, he was already aboard and cheered Roger's plan to stop at Hachinosu. Roughly thirty-eight years prior, he joined the rescue of Shakuyaku from the Native Hunting Competition; after Rayleigh got her out, Roger sent the others to grab the island's treasure, and Taro reached it with Rowing, Mugren, and Scopper Gaban before the Rocks Pirates ambushed them. While escaping, he unknowingly scooped up the chest holding a sleeping Shanks, sparing the boy's life and setting his path toward the crew. Twenty-seven years ago he fought the Golden Lion Pirates at the Battle of Edd War, and a year after that the crew dueled the Whitebeard Pirates for four days before Oden joined them. Taro then sailed to Skypiea, Water 7, Fish-Man Island, Wano, Zou, and finally Laugh Tale. Once the crew threw a farewell party and parted from Roger, his fate after the disbanding went unrecorded.
