Within Wano Country, Tsurube served the Kurozumi Family as a retainer, his "Careless" moniker earned through the clumsiness that proved his undoing. Set to oversee Kouzuki Oden's execution, he lost his footing and pitched into the very pot of boiling oil meant for the prisoner.
Tsurube stood at a middling height, his dark brown hair of moderate length gathered into a topknot. His attire followed Wano custom: a pale gray kimono under dark gray hakama, topped by a black kataginu marked on each side with the white Kurozumi crest, finished with white tabi and sandals.
He showed Kouzuki Oden no respect and no patience, disregarding what the prisoner asked and taunting him as he nudged him toward the oil. Yet, just as his "Careless" name implied, his own recklessness was what cost him his life.
There was little real power to Tsurube. Tipping into the boiling oil killed him almost at once, the same vat that Oden somehow bore for more than an hour. He carried a spear into his role. Twenty years before the present, he was tasked with guarding Oden and herding him into the execution cauldron. When Oden appealed to Kurozumi Orochi and Kaidou for a shot at survival, Tsurube jeered and pushed him onward, then slipped, dropped into the pot himself, and took fatal burns, dying before the watching crowd after barely hauling himself free of the oil.
