Zoro's Pursuit! Ice Oni Tag

The Ice Oni infection keeps creeping through the live floor and dragging more people under, while Queen delivers a short, vicious rap mocking the victims' plight. Omasa, terrified of turning into an oni, weighs ending his own life, but Hyougoro steadies him with a reminder that the Straw Hats had already cured the Udon prisoners of the Mummy virus. Hungry for still more spectacle, Queen unleashes a fresh volley of Excite Bullets across the gathered crowd.

Boxed in by the infected oni, the Straw Hats listen as Chopper works out that Queen must be holding an antibody, and the reindeer resolves to take it and craft a cure. Queen declares the disease lethal within an hour at the outside, and Apoo, attempting to bolt, discovers that every gate has been sealed.

Queen rolls out a sadistic contest he names Ice Oni Tag. Handing the single antibody vial to Apoo, he forces everyone to scramble for it or be doomed to infection, then breaks into a darker take on his funk dance, its lyrics gleeful over the slaughter. The crowd chases Apoo for the sample as the game begins. Above on the roof, the two minks Inuarashi and Nekomamushi lunge at Kaidou, only to be hammered down by his spiked club and stripped of their Sulong forms. Within the right brain tower, Yamato chooses to back Shinobu, admitting he was present at Oden's execution and heard her speak there. Weathering a cannon bombardment from Sasaki's forces, he apologizes for failing to pull Momonosuke from the blazing castle two decades earlier and announces himself as Oden.

The anime works in extra material, including a sequence of Inuarashi and Nekomamushi striking at Kaidou before being knocked back to their base forms, along with a fleeting look at Yamato's face under the oni mask during Oden's execution. The episode first aired on January 22, 2022, carries a rating of 4.0, and opens to the theme PAINT.
