Defend Luffy! Zoro and Law's Sword Technique

Sinking into the ocean, Big Mom begins to drown while her homies cannot reach her. Kaidou steps in, letting Prometheus and Napoleon slip free of Zoro and Killer; with Zeus still boxed away, the pair dive after their mistress and ferry her back toward the island. On the climb up she thanks them but rounds on Zeus for failing to assist.

Prometheus, tired of sharing his power, urges Big Mom to discard Zeus and craft a new homie as his replacement, and she agrees. From the Polar Tang the Heart Pirates watch her survival with frustration. Up top, Kaidou moves to finish an unconscious Luffy, but Zoro summons his remaining strength for a Nine Sword Style strike laced with Supreme King Haki, splitting Kaidou's chest open and tearing back the old scar. Kaidou answers with Raimei: Hakke, downing both Zoro and Law, yet Luffy rises again and renews his vow to defeat the Emperor.

Anime additions include Prometheus asking Big Mom for a girlfriend, a quick glimpse of the future homie Hera, and the Heart Pirates voicing their letdown at her rescue. Zoro's assault on Kaidou and the talk between Big Mom and Prometheus over replacing Zeus both run longer than the source manga. Where the manga left it vague, the episode plainly shows Big Mom dropping into the ocean before her homies retrieve her. The episode is set during the Wano Country Arc.
