The Tragedy of Ohara! The Terror of the Buster Call!

Granted a line to one of the Five Elders, Clover delivers the findings the scholars of Ohara have pieced together. He describes a kingdom that thrived ages ago and disappeared exactly when the World Government rose to power, arguing that the rulers deliberately buried their vanquished foes' record. The leaders decide Ohara has uncovered far too much and command Spandine to execute the professor and obliterate the island.

Flames erupt through the great library as Clover is gunned down. Amid the chaos, Robin can no longer hide and openly admits she is an archaeologist, finally embracing her mother. Their reunion is heartbreakingly short, for cannon fire from the Buster Call's warships begins raining onto Ohara.

Olvia presses Robin into Saul's care, urging the giant to carry her daughter to safety while she herself joins the desperate effort to rescue the library's knowledge from the inferno.

Clover explains the likely purpose behind the Poneglyphs: an ancient nation carved them to keep its history from being wiped out by its enemy. Spandine shoots Clover and activates the Golden Den Den Mushi, formally launching the Buster Call. Robin reveals she can read the Poneglyphs and is reunited with Olvia. The bombardment begins, and Olvia hands Robin over to Saul before returning to save the records.

Part of the Enies Lobby Arc, this entry continues the Ohara flashback and stages the catastrophe that defines Robin's past. Several of the Five Elders appear in the recollection. The episode carried the highest viewer ranking of its broadcast week.
